Shepherding algorithm for heterogeneous flock with model-based discrimination

چکیده
The problem of guiding a flock agents to destination by the repulsion forces exerted smaller number external is called shepherding problem. This has attracted attention due its potential applications, including diverting birds away for preventing airplane accidents, recovering spilled oil in ocean, and swarm robots mapping. Although there have been various studies on problem, most them place uniformity assumption dynamics be guided. However, we can find practical situations where this does not necessarily hold. In paper, consider situation which are given consisting normal guided other variant agents. Under situation, propose method sheep. Specifically, method, shepherd discriminates based their behaviors' deviation from one predicted potentially inaccurate model As discrimination process, two methods using static dynamic thresholds. Our simulation results show that proposed outperform conventional types

VMM-based Process Shepherding
Processes in commodity operating systems are “wild” 1 in nature: They are usually granted with excessive privileges, yet can be easily compromised and abused. Unfortunately, since commodity operating systems are big, complex, thus inherently untrusted, monitoring process behaviors within them is inherently insecure and could be circumvented or tampered. In this paper, we present an approach, na...
متن کاملThe Genetic Flock Algorithm
The purpose of this paper is to describe and evaluate a new algorithm for optimization. The new algorithm is named the Genetic Flock Algorithm. This algorithm is a type of hybrid of a Genetic Algorithm and a Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm. The paper discusses strengths and weaknesses of these two algorithms. It then explains how the Genetic Flock Algorithm combines features of both and g...
متن کاملShepherding Model Evolution in Model-Driven Development
Model-driven development (MDD) for cyber-physical systems leverages sophisticated tool chains to translate models into programming language artifacts. As minuscule model changes can entail severe changes to generated artifacts and their integration with handcrafted artifacts, evolving models can produce unforeseen challenges. Reporting outdated handcrafted artifacts, generated artifacts with mi...
متن کاملModel Migration with Epsilon Flock
In their recent book, Mens and Demeyer state that ModelDriven Engineering introduces additional challenges for controlling and managing software evolution. Today, tools exist for generating model editors and for managing models with transformation, validation, merging and weaving. There is limited support, however, for model migration a development activity in which instance models are updated ...
متن کاملAn Efficient Genetic Algorithm for Task Scheduling on Heterogeneous Computing Systems Based on TRIZ
An efficient assignment and scheduling of tasks is one of the key elements in effective utilization of heterogeneous multiprocessor systems. The task scheduling problem has been proven to be NP-hard is the reason why we used meta-heuristic methods for finding a suboptimal schedule. In this paper we proposed a new approach using TRIZ (specially 40 inventive principles). The basic idea of thi...
